Volume Information Extraction for Complicated Shape and Self-Adaptive Algorithm for Mesh Generation

  • In the process of computer aided engineering for mechanical parts, it is very important to identify the computational field accurately and efficiently. Based on Layered Manufacturing Technology, a method to build volume model from surface model with self-adaptive subdivision of computational field into discrete grids is presented. This method can be applied to the pretreatment of CAE system, and the result for complicated model works well.
