Study on Reuse of Design Plan with Sketch-Based Interface

Most of the existing CAD tools are unable to efficiently support reuse design plan due to the lack of design knowledge modeling during the design process.In this paper,a sketch-based interface supporting natural interaction and efficient design plan reuse is proposed.The design process is specified by analyzing and modeling the sketch information.With the suggestions provided during the process,the method allows user to describe the intention naturally and reuse design plans conveniently,so users' cognitive workload is reduced.Experimental results show that the method can be efficiently used to support freeform design and reuse design plan.
