Research on Integrated Design Techniques for Injection Mold Runner System

A complete design strategy for injection mold runner system is proposed in this paper．The runner system design knowledge is comprehensively collected，the expert system is used for the initial design of the runner and the gates．The C-MOLD and an evaluated object function are used in optimal design of runner system and the form feature database of runner and gate is used to construct runner system feature model．The method has been used in a new generation of injection mold design and manufacturing system．
