OBJECT CLASSIFICATION METHOD FOR DESIGNING PROCESS IN AEC INDUSTRY

In order to support the design management in the CAD system efficiently，the classification method is developed to differentiate the global and local patterns during the layout procedure．A multi-feature classification method applicable to the joint analysis in the steelframe design is presented．It facilitates effectively the establishment of the dependency and inclusion relation ships among the engineering objects，clarifies the complex constrains among them，and at the same time，ensures the rationality，succinctness，and consistency of the subsequent design processes．Good results have been achieved after applying the method into the steelframe construction of plant design system．
