Chip Formation Model of Turning Process and Its Simulation

The chip model with horizontal curling is presented. Based on the law of chip formation and distortion, the distinguishing characteristics of the chip shape are developed. The methods presented above can dynamically simulate the process of chip generation, curling and breaking, giving visualization tools for turning process simulation.
