Half-edge Structure Based Modeling of Exploded Fragments

  • Simulating explosion of objects is an important project in virtual reality. Based on the Markov process in explosion, two simple models of fragments, namely equal probability breaking model and prefabricated uniform-sized fragment model are established. Half-edge structure is used to link the faces among prefabricated fragments. Random-classification approach is applied to form the cracks among assembled fragments. Comparatively good visual effects are achieved.
