Wavelet Transform with Error Correction for Line Vector Data

  • The non-uniform sampling characteristic is not considered in existing wavelet-based multi-scale representation algorithms for line vector,and no effective error control method is given in these algorithms,so excessive deformation of local area may be produced in multi-level wavelet decomposition.Focus on these issues,a line vector data wavelet transform method with error correction is proposed.Firstly,high band is calculated and the positions implying excessive error are located using high band coefficients.Secondly,an up-sampling step is executed using interpolation at these positions.Finally,the low band decomposition is handled.The experimental results show that the error is significantly reduced by this error correction method.
