Interactive and Intelligent Storytelling System for Children

Storytelling is an effective way of education.But there are some limitations in existing children's storytelling software and story authoring systems,such as complicated interaction,innovation difficulty for children and hardly meeting the demands of preschool children,etc.In this paper,an interactive and intelligent storytelling model is proposed.The interactive and intelligent storytelling system for children is designed and implemented.A multimodal interaction technology with pen and speech was adopted in the system.Based on current interaction contexts and knowledge bases,the system could assist the children to author stories appropriately and intelligently in storytelling process.A detailed case study of the system was given.Finally,a user evaluation is performed to assert our system's usability and learnability.
