Abstarct Aiming at 5-coordinate CAM technique about impeller, this paper presents an integrated intelligent CAM system with a parallel and hierarchical architecture on the basis of unified product information model. It effectively integrates the drawing input of impeller parts, geometric design, blade and impeller modelling, machining simulation, as well as DNC controlled NC machining into one environment.
