A Survey of Heterogeneous CAD System Integration

The integration of heterogeneous CAD systems plays a key role in realizing collaborative product development． Firstly, the integration methods based on geometry data exchange are discussed,and the inherent problems and shortages compared with other methods are analyzed． Secondly, the integration approaches based on parametric feature information exchange are summarized,with focusing on the key technical issues,typical research works and commercial tools． Thirdly,the online integration technique based on operation commands exchange is introduced． Finally,future trends of heterogeneous CAD system integration are prospected．
