Virtual Prototyping and Its Application in Developing Small Arms
A definition of virtual prototyping （VP） is suggested and the differences among VP,virtual reality （VR） and virtual manufacturing （VM） are discussed.Evaluation of its application in the design and manufacture of personal defense weapon shows that the virtual prototype has the abilities of simulating physical prototype,it is quite valuable in designing and manufacturing small arms.
