Comparison of Three Moving Frames for SWEEP Surface

Abstract
In the SWEEP-based geometric modeling, one basic problem is the orientation of local moving frame on the space spine, which directly affect the shape control of the swept surface. Several moving frames have been proposed, and their effects on the swept surface are different. In this paper, comparison of these moving frames is presented and the relationship among them is discussed. Furthermore, examples using these moving frames are illustrated and implemented in a commercial geometric modeling system, their advantages and disadvantages are outlined.
