An Interactive Warping Method for Multi-channel Visual Simulation System

  • We present an interactive warping method for multi-channel visual simulation systems, which calibrates each projector based on depth information of the curve screen in a very simple interactive way, and then automatically calculates the warping mesh for each projection channel by taking corresponding design eye-point (DEP) and viewing frustum information into account. The method does not need any camera for projector calibration.By using the display target (the screen) itself as the calibration reference object, the projector's parameters can be estimated more accurately. This method largely reduces system setup complexity and improves system geometry correction efficiency and accuracy.Field engineering has shown very good warping results with this method. In addition, results of this method can also provide form factors for optical?electronic edge blending.
