Abstract
The fixture locating schemes can effectively reduce the deformation of compliant parts in the normal direction, which directly affect the fixture design efficiency. The paper, concerning with low efficiency problems of the locating-point-optimization method by using the finite element model, proposes a response surface method(RSM) based on the radial basis function(RBF) for optimizing fixture locating points. The method firstly discretizes the locating parameter domain based on the uniform sampling method and constructs sample sets by the finite element analysis;then, the relationship between fixture locating schemes and part deformation is established through the multi-quadric function;afterwards, the RSM is established by applying the uniform design method to optimize the parameters of the RBF.Finally, two cases are used to illustrate the flowchart of RSM.Results show that the method has better performance and prediction ability.
