Semantic Web Based Product Configuration Information Expression and Retrieval

Organizing, sharing and retrieving information on the field of product configuration become hot spots of research in current advanced manufacturing technology. Semantic Web based product configuration information expression and retrieval method builds product configuration knowledge database with ontology. The method shares information between heterogeneous systems without semantic obsession on information integration and emphasizes information sharing and reuse. Detailed search syntax is defined to support search on product configuration information database. Finally, the paper provides an implementation on retrieving a transmission to represent some aspects of the retrieval syntax.
