Manufacturability Evaluation System for Die Casting Products

Based on feature modeling and feature recognition techniques, an architecture of DFM system for die casting products was propose and the manufacturability evaluation system was established with UGII/UFUNC. Knowledge base for evaluation was built, where the knowledge were represented in the form of frame and rules. Under the constraints of die casting process and production resources, improper design can be pointed out and corrected in the early design stage.
