Hierarchical Interest Management in Large-Scale Distributed Virtual Environment

The technology of interest management makes the large-scale distributed virtual environment only send data of interesting entities，so that the cost of communication and computation is reduced greatly.But the large differences among the interesting domains of objects in distributed interactive simulation cause much unbalance in communication loads，we present the technique of hierarchical interest management which classifies the entities in interesting domains according to their degree of interest.For the entities of lower interest，two measures involving compressing the data packages and lowering the frequency of communication are taken to reduce the volume of communication，which could help solving the problem of unbalance in communication loads.
