Analysis on Information Efficiency Characteristics of Part’s Dimension and Its Applications

  • Aiming at the issues of the data transferring effectiveness of part's dimension during product variant design process,the information centrality method is proposed with the view of informatics.Firstly,the information transferring characteristics of dimension and the simple paths among dimension pair are analyzed according to the structure feature of dimension constraint network.On the basis of these,the information efficiency model of dimension constraint network is established.And according to the information efficiency attenuation of dimension constraint network caused by removing dimension nodes,the information centrality model of part's dimension is constructed,and the planning method of dimension constraint resolving sequence is presented based on the information centrality value of dimension.Besides,the complexity of dimension constraint network is defined with the consideration of the depth and in-degree of dimension in the network.The complexity of dimension constraint network and its accumulation are analyzed under different dimension constraint resolving sequences.The experiment results show that the complexity of dimension constraint network will be minimal when resolving these constraints under the descending order of dimension information centrality.This provides a new method to organize and manage product variant design process.
