Research on Directed Constraint Mechanism and Algorithm for Feature-Based Design

Geometric constraint satisfaction is one of the kernel algorithms in feature-based design system.This article puts forward a constraint mechanism based on degree of freedom analysis and makes the full use of characteristics of feature-based design to facilitate the constraint management and generate the solution reflecting the intention of designer.The new algorithm is efficient enough to meet the needs of parametric 3D interactive design.
