Feature Extraction and Embedding Based on the Digital Sample of Triangular Bézier Patches

  • Feature plays an important role in reverse CAD modeling.Features extracted from the digital product model of triangular Bézier patches are embedded back into the model by inserting the recognized characteristic curve into the original data points and constraining the subsequent triangulation process.Considering the innovative design in reverse engineering,an algorithm of feature reconstruction is studied in relation to triangular Bézier patches.It is shown that the quality of triangular Bézier patches can be improved by applying the feature techniques proposed in this paper.
