Automated Hardware Synthesis

Computer hardware synthesis is considered as the transforming procedure from the specification of a high level design to the specification of a low level design, and even to the physical structures of ICs. More and more automated synthesis softwares provide good assistance for designers in dealing with the design complexity. This paper tries to give an overview of the development and status of automated synthesis techniques.
