Application of Digital Photogrammetry in Accident Reconstruction

Based on the perspective principles, a direct linear transformation model of digital 3D photogrammetry is presented. By distortion analysis of the digital camera, the camera calibration model is given, and then sequential iteration method is used to solve this model. With an accuracy analysis, some precautions are brought forward. The method is proven effective through its application to a typical traffic accident reconstruction.
