Using Multi-view Network Constraints among Reference Marker Points to Realize Coarse Registration in Structured Light System with High Accuracy

  • Due to the accumulated error in the process of pair-wise registration in the structured light scanning system with artificial reference marker points, the registration precision will decrease with the increasing number of registrations. In order to solve this problem,a high-precision registration method based on multi view network constraints among reference marker points is proposed.First,a multi view network is constructed for the reference marker points during the scanning process, and high-precision global control points are achieved via bundling adjustment. In this process, thelocal 3D point clouds in different views are saved. Then, the 3D data under each local coordinate of each scan are registered with the global control points, and the complete 3D data of the object surface is obtained. The method overcomes the error accumulation in the traditional registration process and improves the precision of multi-view registration.Experiments verify the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.
