Lossless Data Hiding Method in Image Based on Linear Prediction

In this paper an improvement is made to Thodi algorithm （Thodi D M,Rodrfguez J J.Reversible watermarking by prediction-error expansion［C］//Proceedings of the 6th IEEE Southwest Symposium on Image Analysis and Interpretation,Lake Tahoe,Nevada,2004：21－25） in two aspects：predictive error algorithm and embedding/extracting algorithm were promoted.It can be employed to secret transmission of a large amount of hidden information in image,where the original host image from the embedded image could still be retrieved after the hidden data is extracted.The method has been applied to hiding case history information in medical image where the case history information can still be extracted even when noise occurred or some information is lost.The method can also be used for secret information transmission in remote-sensing,military image etc.
