Method and Applications of 3D Deformation Based on Tetrahedron Coordinate System

  • In order to control the deformation of model directly and accurately, a method based on self-defined tetrahedron coordinate system is proposed for 3D deformation. Firstly, the definition of the tetrahedron coordinate system is given, and some theorems are discussed, which can be applied in 3D deformation and 3D morphing and make topological transformation easy. Secondly, the details of two 3D deformation algorithms are presented: embedded deformation and precise deformation based on features. The experimental results obtained show that the proposed method is effective for 3D deformation and 3D morphing.
