Research on Modeling Methods of Engineering CAD Application Software

A new approach to create a framework for defining object classes adaptive to engineering products design is proposed. The major design objects are described from the viewpoints of their main structure, message passing, inheritance as well as the complicated relations among objects. The main potential advantages of such an approach are reusability and exchangeability.
