Study and Practice of New Concept of Model Base

Model base is a new concept in CAD development, which is proposed by author while studying optimization design, theory, modelling method, and application of CAD. This paper deals with the concept, purpose, significance, application and developing project of the model base of mechanical optimization design. The thesis also introduces the contents and method of the general axle design and spring design which are primarily bounded by the author.
