An Adaptive Digital Watermarking Algorithm Based on Wavelet Packets Transform

We presented a novel watermarking method based on wavelet packets transform and human visual system（HVS）.The algorithm made use of the characteristics of wavelet packets transform.The watermark was embedded in the original image in which the embedding strategy and the watermark strength were adaptively determined by the original image content.Theoretical analysis and experiment results show that the algorithm solved the conflict of the watermark robustness and perceptual invisibility.It is also robust against normal image processing and attacks,such as JPEG compression processing,filtering processing, adding noise and cutting processing,etc.
