RESEARCH ON VIRTUAL PROTOTYPING TECHNOLOGY FOR CONCURRENT DESIGN

Virtual prototyping is an effective method for collaborative simulation and verification of product design information in virtual environment．It can effectively supports concurrent design and shortens product development cycle．This paper analyzes the relationship between virtual prototyping and concurrent design．It proposes a virtual prototyping modeling and simulation approach based on domain object．It also presents the key framework technologies which are the basis of virtual prototyping．
