Fast 3D Human Body Reconstruction from Kinects

  • 3D human body is an essential part of the media industry,such as cartoon,game,movie,etc.We adopt depth sensor input devices,such as Microsoft Kinect,to reconstruct human body model.In this paper,we propose a system based on a morphable human body model with the help of ICP(iterated closest point) to find corresponding points between input data and the morphable model.After a few iterations,a high quality human body model is generated.Finally,the experimental reconstruction results demonstrate the efficiency of our system and the quality of the reconstructed human model.
