TTCN-Based IPv6 Conformance Testing

Based on analyzing the features and the test requirements of IPv6, the TTCN-based IPv6 test description method (TTDM) is proposed in the paper. TTDM pre-defines all kinds of IPv6 headers, and IPv6 test packets can be described by the packet declaration tabular in TTDM. Complicated algorithms are implemented in the test system by high-level programming language. Test suite cites calculating modules by algorithm property. Database is adopted to store test suite, in which thirty data tables are designed. The test system with client?server structure is designed, and algorithm for test case execution is given. IPv6 conformance testing is practiced on some IPv6 devices.
