Abstract

The forward differencing method developed by Sun Microsystems is reviewed in a straightforward way. Some improvements are made to the original algorithms, namely, the calculation of surface normal. the adaptive choosing of both u,v values duriny acanning the surface and a simplified way of anti-aliasing.
