A Model Based on Backward Recovery for Fine-Grained Workflow Transaction

  • Contemporary techniques on workflow transaction are surveyed. Aiming at the issue of inefficiency, a workflow transaction model based on backward recovery is proposed in the paper. In the model, an improved confirmation and complementation mechanism is adopted, and the compensation model is integrated with the original process model to support fine-grained transaction management. This method has the advantages on avoiding complex computation such as consecutive rollback caused by reading dirty data, and making the locking and confliction analysis simplified. As a result, both the high efficiency and reliability are achieved.
