Ergonomics Simulation System for Sitting Comfort Measurement

  • To solve the problems of lacking systematized computer aided analysis tools for sitting comfort's subjective and objective measurement,an ergonomics simulation system is developed.The system consists of subjective evaluation,body pressure distribution visualization,ergonomics simulation and parametric modeling modules.The subjective evaluation module is based on subjective comfort testing process model.Body pressure distribution visualization module integrated with peripheral equipments can achieve visual reconstruction of the experimental data.Virtual human models and CAD models are accessed and processed by dedicated system interface,which can simulate the testing process of ergonomic sitting positions and provide the basis for evaluation of comfort seat design.Finally,practical applications to chair development show the feasibility of the system.
