THE TECHNOLOGY OF CAD/CAM INTEGRATION FOR LIMITED PRODUCT

The technology of CAD/CAM integration for shell machine parts based on CAD workstation and I- DEAS software is presented systematically. We also describe the transportation of information from CAD model to CAPP by PEARL database, analyze the key role of generative CAPP in CAD/CAM integration. We also accomplish the simulation of machine process by the GNC (Graphical Numeric Control) software and the preparation of machine file. The system can output reasonable process plan for numerical control machine. The CAD/CAM integration is also basically realized.
