Parametric Solid Modeling for Virtual Prototyping the 3-HSR Parallel Machine Tools

Layout and parametric solid modeling of the detailed structural components and their assembly were realized.The virtual prototype can be used directly for engineering analysis and design optimization.Problems that should be paid attention to are pointed out concerning the selection of modeling environment for parallel machine tools and assembly process of components with movable parts.
