CONSTRUCATION OF FEM STANDARD DATA SET BASED ON PDES/STEP

In the engineering structures or productions design，it is important for the data exchanging and sharing between CAD and CAM as well as between CAD and CAE．Finite Element Analysis （ FEA） is one of the CAE technologies that are widely applied in product design life circle．Data exchange techniques for CAD／CAM are concerned much more than those for CAE．This paper tries to look for the solution of data exchanging and sharing between different FEA applications and，consider it as part of the integral of CAD／CAE／CIMS．We present Finite Element Analysis data set based on PDES／STEP．In this paper，a PDES／STEP—based neutral FEA data set file format is suggested，the relative EXPRESS schema is described and the implementation is shown．
