Process Planning Modeling to Support Product Life Cycle Data Management

An integrated approach to construct Process Bill of Material(PBOM) is presented that inherits the product design information from EBOM and offers various additional data to support the whole process of production management, including process planning, tooling, purchasing, manufacturing, cost accounting, etc. The mapping relationship between PBOM and the other material bills is built to make the process data serve as a link between EBOM and other BOMs over the product life cycle. The associated relationship of all objects and the dynamic as well as static attributes of process data are analyzed in detail. In such a way, overall management of process data is realized.
