The Multi-Level Representation of Product Information for Virtual Assembly

  • The product attribute and behavior information in virtual assembly is stored in a hierarchy of product, feature, geometry & topology and display levels. These different levels are associatively linked together through the mapping of correlated data and constraints. Product information organized in such a way can not only meet the requirements of real-time in a virtual reality system, but also maintain the integrity of CAD data and dynamic behavior of the part in the virtual environment.
