A SMOOTH SURFACE BASED ON THE PATCH BOUNDARIES

A method of constructing free-curved surface is proposed. This method is based on a calculation that depends on the calculating results of the patch boundaries. The surface will be C¹ continuous if the boundary curves connecting each two patches are C¹ continuous. It will be C⁰ continuous if the boundary connection is only C⁰ continuous. This method can be implemented to construct a surface model from a wire-frame model.
