Multivariate Polynomial Interpolation Based on the Partition of Concentric Circles and Parallel Lines

  • Many traditional methods of interpolation are based on triangular or quadrilateral partition. Such interpolation has drawback in dealing with certain problems such as circularly distributed data. This paper presents a new method to construct multivariate polynomial interpolation based on the partition of concentric circles and parallel lines, and the interpolation is symmetrical and polynomial. Error analysis of the interpolation is given and examples are presented to illustrate the efficiency of interpolation.
