Application of Higher Moments in Color Transfer Between Images

Color transfer between images, which efficiently uses the basic statistical information of source image, presents a novel method to alter the image color. Higher moments: skewness and kurtosis were introduced into the color transfer, while power transform and modulus transform were used to adjust the skewness and kurtosis of source image. These measures make the transfer more close to the desirable higher moments distribution of target image and generate better result of color transfer.
