Description of Feature Combinations of Part and Its Application for CAD/CAPP Integration

Shortcomings of using single-features of part for process reasoning are analyzed and the idea of combining several single-feature together to form CAPP oriented feature combinations is proposed．The influences on process reasoning by feature-combinations are discussed in detail．This description method of features improves the accuracy of process reasoning．A case study which uses feature combinations in a CAD/CAPP integrated system shows the descriptions are effective for improving the process reasoning．
