Application of Genetic Algorithm to Joints Selection of Autobody Assembly

  • This paper presents a genetic algorithm to solve optimization problem of autobody joints selection. The performance of the genetic algorithm proposed has been analyzed under the conditions of using various operators and parameters, based on dimension chain representation of autobody assembly. A case study demonstrates the feasibility of the developed method. The method can be employed to improve the efficiency of product design.
