Development of an Integrated Process Information Management System InteCAPP

Based on using a generic process information model to describe the comprehensive process requirements and solutions of all kinds of parts and subassemblies,and extending the functions of PDM to managing process data,an integrated approach of organizing process planning is presented.Architecture of the process information management system and some realization methods are analyzed.Especially,the way to generate PBOM from EBOM,and MBOM from PBOM is studied.A prototype system InteCAPP has been developed for mechanical industry applications.
