AN EFFECTIVE STRATEGY OF PARALLEL VOLUME RENDERING ON WORKSTATION CLUSTERS

Based on footprint rendering method and according to the characterics of workstation clusters and volume data,this paper proposed a new dynamic load balance strategy of group-of-taskpools/group of images,and parallel rendering method of Supervisor-Worker-Collector process.The results of theoretical analysis and numerical testing show:the dynamic load balance and parallel rendering method presented in this paper can improve parallel volume rendering efficiency effectively.
