A Method of Extracting Shared Design Context Based on Process Mining

  • The current study which focuses on the collaborative design lacks the method to form and express design consensus rapidly and effectively, which makes it difficult to find out cognitive rules and the mechanism of consensus' formation. This paper proposes a method of extracting shared design context based on process mining, which supports the knowledge-fused collaborative design. Firstly, design context is extracted from a single design rationale model and represented as Petri net. Then, the improved α algorithm is applied to traverse each design context to extract the shared design context, while the influence of noise in the design context is removed. Finally, the shared design context in the Petri net is transformed into the well-understood design rationale model. A demonstrated example is taken to verify the effectiveness of the proposed method.
