A Multiscale Method for Mosaicing 3D Fragmented Objects

  • Automatic mosaicing fragments from the broken objects is an unsolved problem.A mosaicing method based on wavelet multiscale analysis for 3D fragmented objects is presented.Starting point problem for curves matching is introduced.Spatial contour curves are first transformed by wavelet at an appropriate scale. The curvatures and torsions of smoothe d contour by wavelet transform at a scale are calculated to form the feature vector of the contour curves.Similarity between two contour curves is determined by comparing feature vectors of two contour curves.Fragments of broken objects with the ir contour curves matching are the n assembled.Experimental results show that this method is robust, fault tolerant, effective and accurate in curves matching and fragmented objects mosaicing.
