Convolution Surface Modeling for Cubic B-Spline Skeletons

In this paper we propose a new cubic B-spline skeleton convolution surface modeling method based on curve degree reduction.We first reduce the cubic B-spline curve with C¹ continuity to C¹ quadratic B-splines using constrained optimization methods,and then sum the potentials of each quadratic B-spline skeleton to obtain the potential of the whole cubic B-spline skeleton.
