Feature Boolean Operation Based Modeling for Heterogeneous Objects

  • Traditional CAD Boolean operations are unable to solve the Boolean operation of heterogeneous objects, due to existence of non-geometrical information of the materials. Feature Boolean operations are proposed to construct heterogeneous objects in the paper. Feature Boolean operations have two steps, merging and extracting, and the operations include a material-dominant Boolean subtraction, an intersection operation and a new Boolean complex-union operation of the modeling which is assembled by heterogeneous objects. Finally, the geometrical implementation, graph examples, and its calculating methods are given.
